Privacy Policy
Effective 26 August 2026.
This policy describes what ACH Clock collects, why, how long it is kept, and who else processes it. There is no advertising on this site and we do not sell or rent data to anyone.
1. Who we are
ACH Clock operates achclock.com and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@achclock.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 When you use the free calculators
The settlement, payroll cutoff and Fed status calculators run entirely in your browser. The dates and times you type are never transmitted to us and we never see them. Fonts, stylesheets and scripts are served from this domain rather than from a third-party CDN.
Because Cloudflare serves this site, it processes the ordinary request data required to deliver a page at all: your IP address, the URL requested, your browser user agent, and timestamps. We read this only in aggregate, to see which pages are being visited.
2.2 When you buy something
Payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and email address under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.
We store, in our own records: the Stripe session identifier, the time of purchase, the IP address and browser user agent used at checkout, and the API key or feed URL we issued to you.
2.3 Analytics and cookies
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, loaded from
static.cloudflareinsights.com. It sets no cookie, assigns you no identifier, and
cannot follow you to other sites. It reports which pages were viewed and rough performance
timings, in aggregate.
This site also uses Google Analytics, loaded from
googletagmanager.com. Unlike the above, Google Analytics does set cookies and does
assign your browser an identifier, so that repeat visits can be recognised as the same visitor.
We use it to see which pages bring people to the site and which of them lead to a purchase.
Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy and may retain it for up to
14 months.
We configure Google Analytics to record only the path of the page you are on, never the query string. This is deliberate: the page shown after a purchase carries your Stripe session identifier in its address, and that identifier can be used to retrieve the credential you bought. It is not sent to Google or to any other analytics provider.
Both analytics scripts are optional to the functioning of this site. Any content blocker that blocks them leaves every calculator, the API and the calendar feed fully working.
We set no advertising cookies, and there is no advertising network involved at any point.
3. Why we collect it
To deliver the pages and answer API and calendar requests; to provide the product you bought and let you retrieve your key; to respond to payment disputes and chargebacks; and to understand whether anyone is finding the site. Where a legal basis is required, ours is the performance of our contract with you for purchase data, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing a service for request logs and analytics.
4. How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for as long as the credential issued with them is valid, and after that as evidence in a payment dispute, which can be raised long after a sale. API keys carry a 365 day expiry. Cloudflare request logs and analytics are retained by Cloudflare under its own schedule, which we do not control. Google Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months. We do not currently run an automated deletion schedule for purchase records; you can ask us to delete yours, subject to section 6.
5. Who we share it with
We use the following processors, and no others. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
| Processor | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing, card details, buyer email address |
| Cloudflare | Serving this site, running the API, request logs, page-view counting |
| Analytics: page views, cookies and a visitor identifier |
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@achclock.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Deleting a purchase record deactivates the API key or feed URL issued with it, and we may retain the minimum needed to resolve an open payment dispute. If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. California residents: see section 7.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off until you accept them, and you are asked once. Everywhere else they are on by default. Either way you can change your mind here at any time:
You can also opt out with any content blocker or Google's own browser opt-out add-on.
To opt out of everything, block scripts from this site; it will still work.
7. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and California
We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends either signal, we treat it as a decision to decline analytics cookies: they are switched off, and you are not shown a cookie banner because you have already answered. Many sites disclose that they ignore these signals; we act on them.
No third party is permitted to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other sites through this one. We run no advertising network, and analytics storage for advertising, advertising user data and advertising personalisation is switched off for every visitor in every region, not merely defaulted off.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA, including for cross-context behavioural advertising. The revenue and volume thresholds that make the CCPA binding on a business do not currently apply to us, but the rights described in section 6 are offered to you regardless, and we honour Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal.
8. Children
This is a business tool for payment professionals. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
If we add a processor or start collecting something new, we will change this page and move the effective date at the top. Our build refuses to ship a page that loads a tracker this policy does not name.
10. How to contact us
Email privacy@achclock.com for any question about this policy or any request under section 6.
